My word for 2024 is “acceleration”.
Rather than having a New Year’s resolution, our daughter suggested to have a WORD for the year. In 2023 my word was “grow”. After both my parents died and the family home was sold in 2022, it was time for me to reflect and revisit what my purpose is and what I wanted to do next. In 2023 I did a first ocean swim 1 km challenge (in North Bondi) while fundraising for cancer research (my father died of cancer). I continued with my passion for dancing; West Coast Swing. I decided to re-engage with transition, leadership and team-development coaching. I said goodbye to a wonderful working partnership I had, where I learned a lot but that was not serving its purpose any longer. Eventually I decided to have a (re)start of my business ART OF COACHING. What a year of growth is has been!
The start of 2024 has been accelerating! For the first time I won a place in the finals of the Novice category with West Coast Swing dancing (I came 2nd). I was honoured a “Hall of Fame” certificate for raising over $5,000 for cancer research in Australia, with the Can Too ocean swim program. At the same time, I became part of a wonderful community of ocean swimmers and can call many my new friends. And it is just only January!
I’d like to share this process of “acceleration” with you. With my business ART OF COACHING. I am offering you a few things this year.

2. TRAINING SYSTEMIC COACHING & CONSTELLATIONS
John Whittington, founder of Coaching Constellations and author of ‘Systemic Coaching & Constellations’ will come from the UK to Australia again this year, in May and in November.
These engaging trainings are designed to introduce the Systemic Coaching and Constellations methodology as applied in coaching individuals, groups and teams. For those who would like to better understand the hidden organising forces that sustain relationship systems. Those who would like to integrate this powerful and practical methodology for softening limiting dynamics and creating a healthy workplace culture.

3. UNLOCK THE POWER OF YOUR TALENTED EMPLOYEES: CONNECTION AND BELONGING IN YOUR WORKPLACE
As mentioned in the previous newsletter; at Art of Coaching, we believe that a positive workplace culture is more crucial than ever; it is not just a luxury but a necessity for success.
Since a few years organisations have introduced hybrid workplaces. Over these years talent expectations have shifted. People want more than a wage – focusing on learning opportunities, a sense of belonging and work-life balance. And it is now time to build stronger teams.
To retain competitive advantage, employers need to step up to meet talent demands and understand what motivates them. Over the last few years, we have seen work-life balance and flexibility increase in importance to employees. In 2024, we’re likely to see this trend continue and come in line with salary expectations.
We can also expect an increase in employees wanting employers to align with their values, and to take decisive actions on issues that matter to them, such as diversity and inclusion. That is particularly true for younger workers, with over half (54%) saying they would quit a job if they didn’t belong there.*
