About Art of Coaching

Our Story
We believe that most organisational issues stem from broader
dynamics. Before leadership can implement changes, it’s essential
to grasp the overarching dynamics at play. What might appear as
an isolated problem often originates from a larger breakdown.
Therefore, it’s crucial to perceive the situation as it is through the
lens of Art of Coaching.
Art of Coaching guides clients through this perspective process,
utilizing the Systemic Approach. This approach is a potent
experiential learning model built on three decades of research and
practice across Western Europe.
We apply the Systemic Approach through our diverse array of
services, including workshops, coaching, training, and supervision. While
these services vary in nature, they all encapsulate our fundamental
belief – that gaining a clear understanding of a system through Art
of Coaching is pivotal before making any foundational changes
within an organisation.
Ingrid van der Aa – Founder
Hi, I’m Ingrid van der Aa, founder & owner of
Art of Coaching.
I help leaders, teams, and organisations reset their workplace culture with clarity, authenticity, and impact. I believe that most organisational challenges don’t start where they appear. What looks like a single “problem” is often the result of deeper, hidden dynamics within a system. That’s why I take a Systemic Approach–helping leaders and teams see the bigger picture, uncover unconscious patterns, and create lasting change.

Originally from the Netherlands, I started my career in finance and outplacement consulting before I discovered my passion for constellations and systemic coaching. I have over 20 years of experience in coaching, guiding leaders and teams across industries and countries to unlock their full potential. I hold a Master’s degree in Business Economics (Organisational Psychology) from Erasmus University, and I’m a registered coach and trained facilitator in Systemic Organisational Constellations with the Bert Hellinger Institute in the Netherlands, also through training with John Wittington from the UK. Additionally, I serve as a member of the European Mentoring & Coaching Council (EMCC).
Outside of work, I’m also an artist with a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Sydney. My creative practice once led me to sculpt artworks out of termite homes–a reminder that structure, context, and what might seem insignificant often hold deep meaning.
At the heart of everything I do is this simple belief:
People who feel good perform better.
My work is about creating cultures and leaders that make that possible. Real change truly happens when we stop reacting to surface-level issues and start transforming the deeper patterns beneath them. That’s the art of coaching.
